Abstract: The article indicates the importance and value of music that is present in our lives. It is said that in fact, music and the sounds around us affect the perception of the world, our mood, the quality of our work, the effectiveness of rest ... Musical perception is based on the analysis of sounds and their sequence. In this case, an important role is played by the activity of the listener himself, his focus on the perception of differences in sounds. What a person hears in music depends on what he can expect in it, on what we are able to imagine. The musical image is enriched with associations. With the help of the methods of listening to music and observation, it is possible to reveal not only the music that sounds everywhere, be it in the forest, in the field, on the farm, in the city, in the underpass ... Through listening to music, you can also reveal your personal potential. Hearing music means distinguishing its character, following the development of an image: a change in intonation, moods. Music will be beneficial only when it starts to please listeners, passing itself through thoughts and consciousness. Music should sound only for each specific person. The article reflects the importance, significance and relevance of the influence of music on the development and formation of personality. Describes how a person develops through listening to and perceiving music. The importance of such concepts as "listening" and "listening" to music is shown.

Abstract: Gaming has evolved to be an integral part of human activities. For most individuals, an innovation that seeks originally to achieve an easier way of doing things has increasingly become a necessity for living. Different terms have been used in literature to describe abnormal use of internet stimulating activities: internet gaming, smartphone addiction, pathological internet use, etc. The worldwide prevalence of Gaming Disorder is 0.7-27.5% with the highest prevalence recorded in Asia. There is a higher male prevalence for GD and a particular study showed differences in neuroimaging of male and female subjects. Despite the increase of studies on GD and technology-related disorders around the world, this topic remains understudied in Africa. While no exact data currently exists for the prevalence of GD among adolescents in Nigeria, studies have shown that sociocultural differences may not be associated with GD which means that identified statistics, risk factors and clinical features from non-localized studies could apply. As more details of GD continue to surface, researchers, clinicians and policymakers need to focus on this emerging condition, especially in a country like Nigeria, with the aims of obtaining relevant data, developing relevant clinical tools and designing public health policies to manage the disorder with regards to the local population’s needs.

Autism Spectrum Disorders: Knowledge and Attitudes of Primary Care Givers

Abstract: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) are debilitating lifelong neurodevelopmental disorders which have no cure but can be managed if timeously identified and effectively managed. Internationally prevalence is increasing and little is known about ASDs in Africa, although it is suspected the trends are following the international pattern of high prevalence. Various factors that affect the effective management of ASDs have been identified in previous research. These include low knowledge and negative attitudes towards the disorders in primary caregivers. Given that previous research places primary caregivers as key players in the successful management of ASDs and that there is a dearth of research on ASDs in Africa, this current research aimed to establish levels of knowledge of ASDs in primary caregivers in Zimbabwe as well as their attitudes towards ASDs and its treatments using a descriptive ex facto quantitative research design. A general lack of knowledge on ASDs and the legal provisions available for the protection of rights for individuals with ASDs was found in the sample as well as the presence of mixed attitudes towards ASDs and its treatments. Negative attitudes towards mainstream treatment of ASDs as well as negative attitudes towards diagnosis of the disorder itself were more prevalent than positive attitudes. It was recommended that there is need for more awareness campaigns and research on ASDs and a multi-sectoral approach to the management of ASDs.

Towards a Phenomediology of the Soul

Abstract: The paper discusses different formats of the psyche in connection with opposing phantasmatic pre-decisions building the very basis of every kind of epistemology and ontology. An investigation of the key role of imagination shows that theoretical concepts and their objects devote themselves either to an imaginal phantasm of connection/correlation regarding reality, or to a constructivist one, stressing the opposite (imaginary) phantasm of separation. However, due to the fact that no God’s-eye-view is available, neither the realistic option nor the constructivist option can be verified/falsified in an ultimate concern. With respect to the key role of imagination, a medial format of the psyche is introduced, implying a switch from phenomenology’s principle of self-giving evidence to phenomediology: anything appearing or any phenomenon is considered of being dependent on multiple medial processes. According to this medialistic view, reality(ies) and objects only arise, because self-differentiated media permanently mediate each other. Against this background psyche can be described as a medium – as something that is literally between, located in a difference that belongs neither to one side nor to the other: between mind and matter, between inside and outside, between subject and object, between the individual and the collective. In this respect psyche can be seen as a medium of transforming not only the individual but also the traditions of politics, ethics, religions, and of social and economic conditions. This will be shown with respect to psyche’s entanglement with technical media.
